dreams come true.

Let me start from the beginning.

In 2009 we became sickly addicted to the tv show One Tree Hill.

And by 'addicted' I mean we'd pull all nighters- not to study, but to get through a dvd or 2, or 3

One Tree Hill ended last year & it felt like a chapter of our lives was ending.

We were addicted to it our entire college experience & now it was over & we were graduating. 

I'm just trying to justify how emotionally attached we are to these characters, is it working?

OKAY. 

There were nights when we'd turn off the tv at 4 am to finally go to bed, we'd be brushing our teeth and I'd be like 

"Do you think Peyton knows what Lucas did, like is she gonna forgive him?"

"I freaking hate Dan Scott"

"NANNY DEB is a psychopath"

"Okay but Brooke Davis is the greatest human ever"

We thought these people were our friends. 

One of our favorite characters was Alex Dupre. In real life her name is Jana Kramer.

Since the show has ended, she started singing country music. 

She had a concert in Ogden on Friday.

Kelli's birthday is in 1 week. Naturally, Kendra and I surprised her with tickets. 

This is what happened when we told her:

We ended up front row. 5 feet from her.

I'm definitely straight, but she is the hottest human I've ever seen. This was us: 

ARE YOU KITTEN ME.

She made continuous eye contact with us and I could have passed out.

then she offered me her guitar player.

YOU GUYS.

Naturally after her concert we HAD to meet her.

Step 1: Suck up to her guitar player.

so we're like...

He said he couldn't take us to her,

so we made a decision to take things into our own hands.

We left the bar (in ogden- so this was a risk in itself)

snuck around back...

Kendra sees a security guard and darts around a van as if he didn't see us running towards him.

Then Kendra sees Jana and asks if we can take a picture with her...

to which Jana says "My groupies! Of course!"

...you guys. "HER GROUPIES"

                       

So we gather around all babbling about how much we love her.

Looking back- she thinks we're nuts.

We were those crazy fans who couldn't control themselves.

Then she hugged us.

YOU GUYS I LOST MY SHIT.

                           

Without a doubt it was the greatest night of our friendship.
